PracticeMax was founded in 1984 and was formerly known as Medical Business Resource Center. Initially the company performed consulting services for hospitals, insurance companies, large employers, and physician offices. Gradually clients began requesting training, billing, and follow-up services and this demand facilitated the company’s expansion into other service offerings. PracticeMax now provides a comprehensive suite of business solutions so that healthcare providers can maximize their operations.
In early 1999 additional management and expertise joined the company. Since that time the company has grown 150 percent, upgraded systems, and changed its name to PracticeMax to reflect its focus. PracticeMax is a large independent resource to physicians with nearly 50 employees managed from our 4,400 square foot headquarters in Arizona. PracticeMax serves approximately 180 providers, and processes gross annual billings of approximately $40 million and nearly 400,000 claims annually. PracticeMax has served a large varitey of specialties, not to mention primary care physicians--both hospital and non-hospital based providers.
