AR Follow-up

Perform reasonable and diligent routine follow-up efforts to secure payments from insurance payors and balance-in-full or payment arrangements from patients and guarantors as defined or scheduled by Client. This reduces collection agency fees and improves patient relations.

Insurance

• Call payor on unpaid claims according to minimum amounts and a time schedule agreed upon with Client.
• Automatically mail a letter or refile a claim to the insurance payor within the parameters agreed upon with Client.
• Document activity on each patient account.

Private-pay

• Once a balance becomes 100% private pay, begin a telephone and letter series, approved by Client, for unpaid patient balances in excess of a certain dollar amount.
• Discontinue processing statements and space letters and phone calls, as scheduled by Client.
• Accept payment arrangements with patients who agree to make minimum monthly payments as dictated by Client.
• Document follow-up activity for each patient account.
